Passion's Story

My life before ATLAS was missing connection.  By connection I mean love, kindness and friendship.  I was lonely.  I felt as if I didn't belong where I was.  Most of my days were sad.  I was looking for the missing pieces to my puzzle of life.

My life has changed so much since coming to ATLAS.  I feel like I have found the missing pieces of my life's puzzle.  I have joined a wonderful church; I now have a job that I love and I have friends.

My son is involved in positive activities at ATLAS and within the community.  Just being here in Greene County has changed my life.  A lot of my heavy burdens have been lifted.  I even ran into my best friend from high school one day in the grocery store.  To my complete surprise she lived in Greene County.  It is just amazing how God will have you in the right place at the right time.

I see a bright, positive future for my son and me.  I see stability.  One day I will be a homeowner.  I see being better off financially while continually growing and working in the church.  I just see better days than before.

Before, I was just praying and attending church whenever.  Don't get me wrong, I've always known God, but ATLAS has taught me to put God first.  I'm currently enrolled in a 32-week Discipleship Class, I'm reading my bible more and I've learned to use the voice God has given me to worship and praise Him.

I would like others to know that ATLAS is a great organization.  Their kindness and caring is like a bowl of my Grandma's soup on a cold cold day.  It warms and fills you up.  ATLAS is a place I look forward to going to, it is a place full of joy, smiles and most of all hope.  It is simply amazing.  I know through the classes and things I have learned at ATLAS, I can take what I've learned and use it in my daily life.  Not only for my son and I, but for others in my community. Thank you.
