Would you like to learn more about the mission of ATLAS? Please join us at one of our Informational Receptions. These receptions are small gatherings held at the homes of our fine supporters and volunteers. The program will introduce you to the mission, people and success stories of the ATLAS Ministry. We welcome you to join us, please call for a current schedule of events. Contact Rebecca Epps at 706.453-0581 or contact us via our website.
The Family Services Division of ATLAS provides a ‘hand up’ to families who are deeply committed to making positive life changes. Through classes and other resources, it teaches men and women how to become successful and responsible spouses, parents, and neighbors. With the help of numerous volunteers, ATLAS provides Bible studies, parenting classes, financial coaching, and other life skills training to its clients. A key component of the ministry is its faith-based mentoring program, which teams a volunteer ‘Christian friend’ with each client.
Through its HOPE Division (Healthy Options for Personal Empowerment), ATLAS teaches moral values and life principles for success to the youth of our community. It equips students to make wise and healthy choices in their lives -- primarily in the areas of sex, drugs, and alcohol. Implemented through the local school system, the HOPE program is a health education strategy designed to promote positive development that will transform students into more constructive and responsible young people.
